1. Domestic Shipping

Domestic Shipping - for destinations within the USA

We're committed to providing the best shipping services available, and we promise to do our best to get your merchandise to you with Speed, Safety & Security. We ship Federal Express to the credit card holder's billing address only, or to a Fedex Office.   All deliveries require the credit card holder's signature.  All deliveries are made to the billing address, the suite or apartment number unless otherwise instructed by you.  We pay Federal Express extra for a guaranteed service called "Direct Signature."  In short, Direct Signature guarantees you or a person from your household will sign for the delivery.  By implementing this service, we have eliminated fraudulant transactions completely. 

Federal Express is the safest and securest delivery method available.  Federal Express offers a highly trained Security Staff to follow up on any questionable deliveries. You can rest assured, your purchase deliveries from DesignersLA.com will be made with the utmost speed, safety and security by trained personnel.  Should you have a question, concern or comment, please send an email to eFashionHouse.com.  We will address special delivery circumstances with you prior to placing the order. 

Fedex does not deliver to a PO Box number.  If your billing address is a PO Box number, please call your credit card company and add your physical address as an alternate shipping address.  Write a note on your order form, and Customer Service will call to verify the alternate shipping address.  We ship only to the billing address unless an alternate address is added to the card and verified.

We have kept our shipping fees low for a very long time.  Due to the increased fuel surcharges imposed upon us you may see a slight increase in shipping fees beginning November 2005.  Please note, whenever we are forced to increase shipping fees, we do our best to compensate our customers by offering deeper discounts on our merchandise.  Please join our email list to receive weekly special offers.  To SUBSCRIBE to the FREE GIFT NEWS email publication please go to the Home Page located at http://www.DesignersLA.comFree Shipping coupons will be valued at $10 each to compensate for the fuel increases.  Once fuel charges decrease, you will see a new, lower EFH ship rate posted here.

Available Shipping Options defined:

  1. Fedex Ground is Home Delivery with Signature and the preferred delivery for merchandise valued at below $300.  The fee for Fedex Ground begins at $13.00 per order.
  2. Fedx Standard Overnight Delivery arrives before the end of business on the following Fedex business day.  The fee for Fedex Standard Overnight begins at $35.00 per order.
  3. Fedex International Express is for shipping any order with an overseas or international destination and billing address. The fee for international Fedex begins at $50 per order.
  4. Fedex 2-Day Express to your home with signature is preferred for orders valued under $300.00.  The shipping fee for two-day express begins at $20.00.
  5. Fedex 2-Day Express to a Fedex Staffed Hold Location with signature is preferred for orders valued over $300.00.  The shipping fee for two-day express begins at $18.00.

We recommend shipping all high-cost items to a Federal Express Hold Location for speed, safety and security of your purchase.  If you ever have a question about your Fedex shipment, please call 1-800-463-3339 and have your tracking number ready.  The Fedex Customer Service representative answering your call will assist you in locating and tracking your parcel.

Domestic Shipping Fees

FEDERAL EXPRESS SHIPPING FEE

Domestic USA Mainland Federal Express Shipping fee is based on the amount of the purchase and every delivery requires Direct Card Holder Addressee Signature.  We ship Fedex Ground starting at $13 for one item or Fedex 2-Day starting at $18.  

When offered, Free Shipping applies to ground deliveries and is a $10 value.  There's a $3 gas surcharge imposed by Federal Express due to increased gas prices.  We will remove the surcharge when gas prices decrease. 

* NOTE:  DesignersLA reserves the right to ship high-cost Designer merchandise to a Fedex Staffed location for customer pickup.  Signature is required.  This is the preferred shipping method for all orders valued above $300.  Whenever placing an order for an expensive item, we recommend shipping to a Fedex Staffed location.  Should you have any questions, or need assistance with shipping Federal Express, please call 1-800-463-3339 or go to http://www.Fedex.com.

* FEDEX TRACKING NUMBERS:  Customers with a FedEx shipment receive an email once the order is shipped containing the Fedex tracking number. Fedex shipments can be tracked using the tracking number received in the email.  You can track your package's delivery by logging into your Personal DesignersLA.com Account or at  http://www.fedex.com 

* FEDEX WITH SIGNATURE.  By selecting this shipping option, you will be available to sign for the package or arrange to pick up the parcel at a Fedex Staffed Location.  You will receive a Fedex tracking number from DesignersLA.com.  If you have any questions about your order's tracking number, please call 1-800-463-3339.  Shipping options can't be changed once an order leaves our facility, and shipping fees are non-refundable once an order is shipped by DesignersLA.  If an order is returned undeliverable, or if it is refused upon delivery, shipping fees are non-refundable.

* STANDARD OVERNIGHT.  Overnight shipping is available within the USA only at $35 per order.  Large orders may require a higher rate, and the fee adjustment will be made at the time of shipping.

* EXPRESS OVERNIGHT.  Overnight express is not currently an ordering option.  Please send an email to  Customer Care should you require Overnight Express Delivery.

* SHIPPING INSURANCE.  Insurance to cover loss or damage can be purchased for $3/up to $250 coverage or $5/up to $500 coverage.

* COMMON SENSE RULE.  We reserve the right to ship high cost merchandise to a Fedex Staffed location for your pickup.  This protects your purchase and creates the safest mode of delivery possible.

More Shipping Information

  1. We currently do not ship Federal Express to PO Box or AP/FPO Addresses. Under special circumstances and conditions, we may approve a PO Box or AP/FPO shipiment only when a Visa Credit Card is used for the purchase, and our online Verified by Visa system approves the shipment.  All PO Box and AP/FPO Box billing addresses must use a Visa Credit Card for the order.
  2. Parcels to Alaska and Hawaii may require an additional shipping fee of $12.00 or more depending upon weight and destination.
  3. Customers pay for shipping if an order is returned or needs to be reshipped. If an order is returned and not reshipped, customers pay for the original shipping plus the return shipping fee.
  4. An alternate delivery location is available when you are not at the billing address for signature. You can have your parcel delivered to an Authorized FedEx Hold location for claim and signature. Please choose this option on the order page. To locate an Authorized FedEx Hold location go to www.fedex.com and click on the locations tab. On the order form, type the Authorized FedEx Hold address you want the order sent. We can also select the closest FedEx Hold location for you based on the credit card billing address. You will have 5 business days to pick-up your parcel before it is returned to us unclaimed. There's a minimum fee of twenty dollars for this service.  If your order is refused, or returned to us for any reason, shipping charges to and from the destination are the customer's responsibility.  EFH does not incur shipping costs for the delivery or retuned orders.
  5. An authorized alternate shipping address is an address listed on your credit card, but it's not the billing address.  To use an alternate shipping address, the card holder must contact the credit card's bank by calling the 1-800 number located on the back of the credit card and add the alternate shipping address to the card.  Once this is completed, the card holder sends the 1-800 to EFH in an email and we will call to verify the change.  There may be an additional charge of up to fifteen dollars per address change or re-routing of any order to an address other than the credit card's billing address.
  6. We ship to any destination when an order is prepaid. This includes orders sent to an APO/FPO or PO Box addresses.
  7. Free Shipping applies to all Federal Express Ground/Home Deliveries.   There are special circumstances for free shipping.  When a PO Box or other address is used where Federal Express does not make deliveries, free shipping does not apply.  Some remote areas require additional shipping fees for Federal Express deliveries.  In this circumstance, DesignersLA pays the greater base rate and the additional remote delivery fee may be added to the order.  Federal Express deliveries are made as scheduled.  We do not have control over a parcel once it leaves our facility.  Delivery times are based on perfect situations.  There may be times when a delivery is not controlled by us or Federal Express.  These situations are "beyond our control" situations like extreme weather or other uncontrollable circumstances.  Please call Fedex Customer Service for assistance when your tracking number at http://www.Fedex.com shows a delay.

2  International Shipping

International Shipping - for destinations outside the USA

All International Customers are asked to use a VISA Credit Card for their purchase.  DO NOT USE A DEBIT CARD.  We use VERIFIED BY VISA ONLINE. Register with Verified by Visa and your international order will be processed immediately and easily through our automated system.  To register with VBV, click on the Verified by Visa banner located at the bottom of our home page.  When another credit card is used other than VISA, an international order is approved for shipping when specific requirements are met. VISA provides online verification and expedites the shipping process overseas.  Whenever an International order is placed using a card other than VISA, we verify information manually.  The manual verification process can take up to one week.  After an international order is placed, the customer will receive an email with instructions. Please reply promptly to avoid shipping delays. When email is not answered promptly, the order is canceled. International shipping fees are based on the number of items being shipped. When an international order is placed, a flat rate of $50 is charged for one item and $5 for each additional item being shipped to the same international destination. The shipping fee may be adjusted when an order is very small or very large. The adjustment will occur after the order is approved for shipping.

International shipping insurance can be purchased at $3 for up to $250 in coverage and at $5 for up to $500 coverage. We reserve the option to 1) require the purchaser to obtain coverage or 2) insure the package at the full sales price at our cost. Customers will be solely responsible for any duty, customs or other import fees the receiving country may apply to the shipment. If you have any questions regarding whether such fees may apply, contact your local authorities.  We do not have Customs information for each country.

After the international order is approved and shipped, the customer receives an email with the shipment's tracking number. Customers pay for shipping if an order is returned or needs to be reshipped. If an order is returned and not reshipped, customers pay for the original shipping plus an additional $10 processing fee.

We offer a no-hassel return process.  Our goal is to make sure you are happy with your purchase.  A Store Credit Exchange is easy when you follow common-sense instructions: 

  1. Request a return authorization within 48 hours of delivery
  2. Read, sign, and include the exchange form with the return
  3. Ship the return immediately following return authorization
  4. Returns must be received within one week of your delivery date 
  5. Return brand new unused items only
  6. Sale, Clearance, Promotional, Coupon Discounted, Sample Sale Items are not returnable.
  7. All tags must be attached and accompanying items included  
  8. Pack the return properly
  9. Insure the parcel for loss or damage in return shipping
  10. Ship using a tracking number
  11. Wait for the email confirming receipt of the return.
  12. Due to our below-retail pricing, we charge $10 return processing fee
  13. Plus the cost of shipping is your responsibility
  14. Your return is processed for a store credit  

Once an item is sold and shipped we consider the purchase to be final. However, there are circumstances which create the need to return or exchange an item.  Our skilled associates inspect each item prior to shipping.
